Join the Crimson Horde
Ætt
What we inherit and pass on.
Crimson Horde is one of Aardwolf's long-standing PK clans. PK remains part of our identity, but it
isn't a requirement for membership.
Some of us PK. Some quest, campaign, explore, build characters, chase goals, collect equipment, or
spend far too much time figuring out how the game works. Most of us do several of those things.
What matters is that you enjoy Aardwolf, want to get better at it, and are willing to be part of the clan
rather than simply wear the tag. We welcome newer players as well as experienced ones — you don't
need to arrive knowing everything, just willing to learn.
What you can expect from us
DRENGSKAPR
The way we carry ourselves
We expect maturity. That doesn't mean solemnity — it means treating clanmates and other players
reasonably, avoiding unnecessary drama, and understanding that your behaviour reflects on the Horde.
If you PK, we value judgement, awareness and good fights rather than easy victories. If you don't PK, that's
fine — we'd still like you to understand that PK is part of the clan's history and culture.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
-
We're interested in players who:
-
enjoy playing Aardwolf and intend to keep playing
-
are curious and willing to learn
-
develop their characters rather than expecting others to do it for them
-
help when they can
-
can hear advice, think about it, and decide what to do with it. Thor generally skips the middle step.
-
contribute to the life of the clan in their own way
-
have a sense of humour
You don't need to be an accomplished PKer. You don't need to be T9. You don't need to know everything
before you join.
THE APPLICATION
Post an application note on the Personal board to:
Blunt · Giddorah · Gunners · Perlesvaus · Rhavage
You don't need to write an essay.
The process normally takes about a week. We may talk with you, play alongside you and ask questions — this is as much a chance for you to decide whether you like us as it is for us to decide whether you fit the Horde.
Successful applicants begin with a probationary period. There's no set clock on it — it ends when we've gotten to know you and you've gotten to know us, usually a few weeks.
Thor has no formal role in the application process. This is probably for the best.
Samheldni
The bonds that hold us together
Crimson Horde isn't looking merely for characters with impressive stats.
We're looking for people we'd like to have around.
If that sounds like you, apply.
Help when you need it
There's a great deal of experience in the Horde. Ask questions. Someone generally knows the answer — or knows where to find it.
Equipment
We work hard to keep members properly
equipped as they progress. The better gear
takes clan time and resources, so access grows
with your involvement.
Room to play your own game
You're not required to PK, and you're not
required to play every day. We do expect you to
keep developing your character and take some
interest in the wider game and the clan around
you. Thor, of course, believes hitting things is
sufficient.
Shared knowledge
Maps, goal guides and everyday game
knowledge are available from the start — we
don't make new members rediscover things the
clan already knows. Some clan-specific
knowledge is reserved for established members.
People to play with
Crimson Horde should be a clan you enjoy logging into.
